Once upon a time, leadership involved a big stick, and this is no longer the case. Wielding a stick is much easier than modern leadership styles and thinking, and therefore it is important that we take a walk to better understand the different facets of what a modern leader looks like.

Once you have completed this program you will have a lot of opportunities to practice your new learning, and this can take many forms:

• Getting to lead projects or take incremental responsibility for certain parts of your department

• Being seconded into other roles to cover extended absence like annual leave, maternity cover or extended leave

• Simply walking the walk and seeing your department shine

• Be open to promotion, which may be in your department, in another area of the business or another business within the group

• Helping your peers better understand different decisions being made in the business

This program is designed to provide small but important insights into leadership. It is a participant’s role to run deeper on their learning and points of interest. This program does not create leaders, it fosters leadership attributes and understanding.
